Studies show 82% of people who do not go to church would go to church if someone they knew invited them. A few weeks ago, we asked you to write down the names of two people you intend to bring to One Church’s next Preview on Jan. 8 at 10 a.m. at Frontier Elementary. Is extending that invitation hard for you? If you are like most of us, you are nervous about inviting those friends, family members or neighbors. Let me give you some words of encouragement: They probably want to come to church!

One Church is a new community for new people. We know that new things reach new people and so we’ve created this new community. And here’s the thing, we find that most people will come if they are invited! That means most people are waiting on a friend or someone they know to invite them to church, to meet them at the door, and to sit with them during worship. That’s all! It’s that easy! And here’s another thing, if they say no, you can still be friends. It might be awkward for a few moments but that awkward moment is worth bringing new people to Christ! So, let’s do it together—invite our friends, family members and neighbors to One Church on Jan. 8 at 10 a.m. at Frontier Elementary, bring some new people and we will build a new community together!
