At Acts 2, we believe spiritual and personal growth works best when we practice what we call “worship plus two”—weekly worship, a place to learn, and a place to serve.

Acts 2 University

Acts 2 University is an opportunity for people of all ages to share a meal, connect with others, and grow in their faith on Wednesday nights during the school year. Dinner begins at 5:45pm, and classes for all ages are from 6:30 – 8:00pm.

The Grace of Les Miserables

Led by Teaching Pastor Robert Gorrell, This study will dive into the ideals found in Victor Hugo’s story—grace, justice, poverty, revolution, love, and hope—each represented by a character in Les Miserables. As these imperfect and relatable characters interact, we can see how these ideals work together (perhaps even in spite of each other) out in the world.

The Scandal of the Kingdom

The Scandal of the Kingdom: A Sermon Series Study follows our sermon series and Dallas Willard’s book of the same name. Each session explores a parable and will help you understand the heart behind it, how Jesus used it to communicate the realities of God and life in his kingdom, and how it is still revolutionary—even “scandalous”—in showing you the way in which God invites you to lead your life.

The Difficult Words of Jesus

Jesus’ teachings have been the source of life and guidance for Christians across millennia, but sometimes he spoke words that followers then and now have found difficult. This class will explore how how these difficult teachings would have sounded to the people who first heard them, how have they been understood over time, and how we might interpret them in the context of the Gospel of love and reconciliation.

The Fasting Practice

What if we are missing out on one of Jesus’ most essential practices? Fasting is going without food for a set amount of time to awaken our body and soul to our deep hunger and need for God. It’s one of the most powerful — and neglected — of all of Jesus’ practices.

At Acts 2, we believe it takes everyone working together to be the body of Christ. The business of being the church cannot move forward without the support of the people in it.

Serve Internationally

Contact: Jeff Hedrick

Acts 2 is committed to spreading God’s love by serving those in need. Approximately 748 million people in the world do not have access to clean drinking water, so we have partnered with Living Water International year after year to reach large groups of people who suffer every day without this resource that we can often take for granted.
