Get to know Courtney
What made you decide to get involved in ministry work?
I was called by God to do youth ministry at Camp Egan during district camp when I was a junior in high school. As I thought about my future, I wanted to share about the things God had done in my life and point out where God was at work in the lives of others. From there, I set my course to OCU to major in youth ministry, and time and again I have felt that call reaffirmed through the years.
What inspires you?
Brainstorming! I am inspired by the creativity and imagination of others when there are no boundaries and you can dream big and ridiculous dreams!
What is something quirky about you?
I love all things Disney! Walt Disney World is my favorite vacation destination and when we go, we don’t get maps—I am the map.
What do you like to do in your spare time?
In my spare time I enjoy playing with my kiddos, being outside, doing crafts, and listening to audiobooks.
What is your favorite Bible verse?
Micah 6:8: “He has told you, O mortal, what is good; and what does the Lord require of you: but to do justice, and to love kindness, and walk humbly with your God.”
