What to Expect at Acts 2
What It’s Like to Worship at Acts 2
Acts 2 UMC is a community of believers who have decided together to live their lives fully devoted to God. It is a place where everyone plays a critical role, everyone is important and God is in charge.
What are the service times?
Acts 2 worships in person and online on Sunday mornings at 9:15 and 10:45 a.m. An on-demand online worship service is also available on our YouTube channel and Facebook page.
What should I expect?
First and foremost, expect to experience God through the presence of the Holy Spirit.
Gathering area
When you enter the gathering area at Acts 2, you will be greeted by one of our hospitality team members. They can assist you in finding a seat or answer any question you may have.
Worship
Each worship service lasts approximately 80 minutes. At the beginning, there are two songs, followed by the Children’s Moment, and then another song. Our dress ranges from casual to formal – whatever you want to wear is fine. We do not single out guests or ask anything of you.
Each week, our musicians and vocalists lead our congregation in singing praises to God through contemporary songs, as well as traditional hymns.

Children’s Worship
If you have children from birth to three years old, we can assist you in checking your child into the nursery where you will meet our caring nursery staff.
If you have children ages four years or older, they will begin their day in Worship with their parents in the main Sanctuary. During the Children’s Moment, they will be invited forward for a quick message and prayer. They will then be invited to exit the Sanctuary to go to their Sunday School classes, led by our wonderful volunteers. Children will spend about 30 minutes in class, and then will be escorted back to the Sanctuary in time to participate in Communion with their families.

Communion
Following the sermon and offering, everyone is invited to receive Holy Communion. We believe that everyone – members and guests, regardless of denomination or church background – are welcome at the Lord’s table.
Closing
The worship service will end with a sending forth by the pastor, after which our staff would be happy to meet you!
