Everybody has a philosophy of parenting that defines what we do, whether we know it or not. We believe there’s a biblical philosophy of parenting that written throughout the pages of Scripture and can be seen in the way that God deals with us – through grace. Beginning Wednesday, September 4 from 6:30 – 8:00pm, Dr. Robert Gorrell will lead a 6-week class on parenting drawing on his forty years of pastoring, counseling, and social work. He’ll use Dr. Tim Kimmel’s “Grace Based Parenting,” Andy Stanley’s “Parenting,” and many other fantastic and accessible resources. We’ll discover what our children’s driving inner needs are how how to meet them. We’ll also be introduced to four freedoms we can give our children that will strengthen our relationships with them and their relationship with God. There is a $20 investment for the class.
As a part of Acts 2 University, we hope you’ll join us for a free meal from 5:45 – 6:25pm before class in the Gym located in Building C. Children and youth programming meets at the same time as our class, and free childcare is available for infants through 3 year olds.
