On your mark, get set, go!!!! It’s a grand time watching the little ones waiting for the signal and then racing to see if they can find the perfect amount of eggs to fill their baskets. Watching them open their eggs to see the treat that awaits is a reminder to me to remain joyfully expectant in this Easter season.
With all this on my mind, I know it’s almost time for our annual Easter Egg-Stravaganza here at Acts 2. The event is from 4-6 p.m. on Sunday, March 25. We’ve been preparing for this day for several months and have high hopes for delightful weather!
The Egg-Stravaganza will not only have multiple Easter egg hunts but will also have food trucks, face painting, inflatable toys and a mini passenger train. The Easter Bunny will also be there for you to take pictures with! We will be providing drinks and plenty of fun for everyone.
When you arrive on our campus from either the Penn or Covell entrance, you’ll be given a map and a registration form to complete in your car. We hope this change will reduce the chaos of registration! You can complete the form while the little ones are still buckled in. Please complete the registration form and (following the map you’ll be provided) proceed to a registration table to pick up your children’s age appropriate wristbands. The wristbands will help you find the appropriate area in which your child will hunt eggs. There will be three age groups stationed in different areas of the campus so your kiddos can hunt with children near their own ages.
I also have some exciting news for this year’s Egg-Stravaganza participants! A completed registration form is also your entry into an awesome giveaway. One family will win a family of four season pass to Frontier City/White Water Bay with a parking pass included.
At last year’s event, we had more than 1,000 people in attendance and we expect at least the same amount this year…maybe even more! What is so unique about this event is that more than half in attendance are guests and not members of Acts 2. It’s a wonderful event to bring your friends- especially the ones that don’t have a church home.
So, come out with your family and enjoy some dinner, ride a train, get your face painted and watch your children get some energy out in the inflatable toys. Of course, also watch your children hunt for eggs! On your mark, get set, go!!!
