Here are the top 10 reasons why I’m crazy excited about One Church Worship at 6:30 p.m. on May 26 in the Acts 2 chapel.
- #LifeGoals.
The goal of One Church is to move into the chapel on the Acts 2 campus. In order to realize this goal, additional space must be created for the children and youth that currently occupy that space. We have not realized this goal yet, which is why it is exciting to talk about Friday Night Worship on May 26. We’ll be sprucing up the chapel with all of the cool stuff from One Church like lights, upgraded sound equipment and TVs. - “One Church, meet Acts 2! Acts 2, meet One Church!”
It will be a great time for One Church and Acts 2 people to meet. For the last five months, we’ve been welcoming new people to our One Church community. This is one of the first times where both communities will have the opportunity to worship together. We hope everyone will stay around after worship and meet each other. - FREE Chick-Fil-A!
After worship at 6:30 p.m., we will get to enjoy Chick-Fil-A chicken nuggets, strips and sandwiches! What does a chicken sandwich with extra nuggets and three different sauces taste like? Let’s find out together! Not only will we have Chick-Fil-A to enjoy after worship, but also snow cones and bounce houses! - Fireworks!
Following worship and a delicious Chick-Fil-A meal, our eyes will be subject to the most spectacular pyrotechnic display set to music that this world has ever seen! And if it’s not that good, you’ll still have seen a pretty darn good fireworks display. - New People!
One Church is a new community for new people! Friday is a great opportunity to welcome new people to church who wouldn’t normally go. Here’s a sample conversation between you and a friend:
You: “Hey, do you have a church home?”
Friend: “Nah, I’m not really into that church thing!”
You: “Well my church is shooting off fireworks after worship this Friday. Want to come with?”
Friend: “It depends. Will there be bounce houses?”
You: “Yup!”
Friend: “Meet me there at the door!”
You: “Done!” - One Church Sample.
Maybe you’ve been attending Acts 2 and looking over at Frontier Elementary wondering what we’re doing every Sunday. This is the best chance you have at finding out what we’re doing! - I’m preaching!
What do hot dogs, Joseph and the “coat of many colors,” crazy Aunt Sally (or your corresponding family member) and Jesus have to do with each other? Let’s find out together on Friday, May 26 or Sunday, May 28 at 9:15 a.m. or 10:45 a.m. in the Acts 2 sanctuary. Yeah, I’ll be preaching all three services! - Chick-Fil-A!
I know I already mentioned it but I’m that excited about it and I’m running out of exciting things! - Evoke Coffee.
One Church is excited to offer Evoke Coffee at all our One Church worship services! Come on Friday, May 26 and find out what Evoke Coffee tastes like while worshipping Jesus. Spoiler Alert: It’s amazing! - Sit back, relax and worship.
One of the things I love about worshipping on Friday night is the relaxed feel. Come in your blue jeans, shorts and flip-flops. It’s Friday night and we are ready for Memorial Day weekend. This will be a great time to worship together and I look forward to seeing you there!
