This Ash Wednesday, say yes again to God and to the most important relationships in your life. Ash Wednesday is the first day of Lent, the 40-day season (not including Sundays) leading up to Easter. Lent is a time for Christians to examine their lives, refocus on following Jesus, and set aside distractions. Ash Wednesday worship is a time to confess our sins and remember our mortality in light of the redemption Jesus offers to all. Each person will have the opportunity to receive the imposition of ashes and to celebrate Communion together.
